]]>As a beginner who is primarily working on SRSing Vocab and Kanji, having some accessible reading material that didn’t already rely on a large vocabulary is great.
The creators of this series were very thoughful with the repetition and progression with respect to grammar and vocabulary.
The inclusion of the audio just puts it over the top for a beginner, and provides one with a lot of angles to approach the material from. Reading, Reading while Listening, Active Listening, and later, more Passive re-Listening of the stories.
The pictures are also well thought out, often giving extra context exactly where needed.
Very well-assembled series, and much needed in the Beginner-Japanese space, I think.
