Dan pointed me to Mega Zoom, a cute SIMBL plugin which allows you to toggle a (faked) full-screen view of your frontmost Mac app with ⌘↩. When in full-screen, the menu bar is usually hidden, but you can still mouse up to it. This is great for demoing web sites with without distracting browser chrome — something that’s often a lot harder than it should be.
For some unknown reason, the official download is PPC-only. Since the plugin includes source, an enterprising soul built a universal binary version. It’s also pretty easy to rebuild it yourself if you don’t like the delivered keystroke (which stomps on a bunch of stuff I use, TextMate and OmniWeb most notably).
